Go-inside, the Temple Church, see the tombs of the knights and hear the tale of their contribution to our modern democracy. We end the walk with a peek inside St. Stephen Walbrook, the Church that is said to be the forerunner of St. Paul's Cathedral designed by Sir Christopher Wren.
The cult of Mithras became rival to Christ and had vast numbers of followers from business and military backgrounds. The dark, mysterious place is ideal for contemplation and ceremony. Did members forge honourable alliances or form political plots? It was undoubtedly a secret and prestigious cult.
