Room options
Rooms at Great Fosters are both elegant and comfortable. For coffee lovers, there is an Espresso machine present in the room. If you’d like to relax in the evening, there is a TV with Freeview and fast complimentary wi-fi. All rooms have air conditioning. If you prefer to pamper yourself in the evening, there is either a bath or walk-in shower and a range of L’Occitane toiletries.

Cosy Double Rooms (129-150 sq. ft) with king-size bed, located in the Main House, some overlooking estate gardens; Comfy King Rooms (172-204 sq. ft) with king-size bed, located in the Cloisters and Coach House, most overlooking the Cloisters Garden.

Main House Comfy King Rooms (172-215 sq. ft) with king-size or twin beds, located in the Main House, overlooking the parterres garden or the grand approach of the hotel; Luxury Super King Rooms (290 sq. ft) with king-size or twin beds, located in the Coach House, overlooking the Private Coach House Gardens.

Suite options

Splendid Historic Suites (269 sq. ft) have king-size or twin beds, overlooking the gardens or the grand approach to the hotel, located in the Main House.

The Waterloo Suite (355 sq ft.) has a four-poster bed, separate dressing area and a private balcony. There is also a bathroom with a walk-in drench shower and tub for two. This suite is on the upper floor of the Main House.

Panel II (430 sq. ft) has a four-poster bed and seating area overlooking the grand approach to the hotel. This suite is on the first floor of the Main House.

The Italian Suite (387 sq. ft) has a king-size bed and a stunning Italian marble bathroom. This suite overlooks the grand approach of the hotel and is on the first floor of the Main House.

The Duke of Wellington (355 sq. ft) has a king-size bed and a separate lounge area. The suite overlooks the beautiful estate gardens and is on the second floor of the Main House.

The Queen Anne Suite (527 sq. ft) has a four-poster bed, with a separate lounge overlooking the estate gardens. This popular suite is on the first floor of the Main House.

The Nursery Suite (462 sq. ft) has a double bed or twin beds and a spacious sitting room overlooking the grand estate entrance and gardens. This suite is on the second floor of the Main House.

The Tapestry Suite (613 sq. ft) has a double bed and a lounge area with a dining table overlooking the hotel's grand entrance and gardens. This suite is on the first floor of the Main House.

Restaurants
Tony Parkin at The Tudor Room provides exceptional, contemporary cuisine in an intimate setting.

The Estate Grill celebrates local and seasonal produce and aspires to create food to delight the senses.

Facilities
The Great Fosters has something for everyone, whether you’re a nature lover who wants to explore the 55 acres of gardens with both a piggery and beehives. If you prefer a good workout, there are trim trails, cycle routes and tennis courts available. Or treat yourself to one of the many great spa treatments.

History
In 1930, Sir Harold Sutcliffe acquired Great Fosters and turned it into a hotel after restoration and refurbishment. The estate quickly gained a reputation as a first-class destination.

In 1931 Queen Mary visited the hotel, and in June of that year, the Ascot Ball was held at the hotel. After almost 90 years of ownership under the Sutcliffe name, Alexander Hotels bought the property in 2018.

Touring Guide
Great Fosters is the perfect place to stay and discover loads of attractions in the area. If you’re into the royals, then visit Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited fortress in the world and the Queen’s weekend home. Or Hampton Court Palace, a Tudor and Baroque palace with world-famous gardens, is a must. If nature is something of interest, RHS Garden Wisley, the flagship show garden of the Royal Horticultural Society, is worth visiting.

Even if literature is more up your street, take the opportunity to explore the magical Warner Bros.
