History
In the 18th century, the property was originally a farmhouse on a farm estate called Twatley Farm. Mr T.G. Smith bought the estate in 1857 who became the lord of Easton Grey Manor from 1871 on. Afterwards, the ownership of the farm passed onto his sister Honora Wilder and her husband. During WW I, the hall at Twatley Farm became a packing station for boxes and parcels destined for the Front.

In 1925 H.C. Cox, a Canadian bought the estate; he used the property for hunting and added more land. Cox added the Tudor wing and also built the coach house.

Around 1947 Priscilla Coriat and her second husband Harold Isaac Coriat bought it and were its owners until 1957. R.J. Rennie divided the estate in 1961 and, around this time, earned its present-day name Whatley Manor.

During this time, Marco and Alix Landolt stayed at Whatley Manor when the property's beauty inspired them. In 2000 Whatley Manor came up for sale; they bought it and restored it to its former glory. A Grade II listed building houses the manor house.

Whatley Manor opened its doors on 1st July 2003 and has since had the reputation as a peaceful, perhaps even magical place.
