Sandringham Estate is a royal 18th-century country house set in a beautiful 600 acres of landscaped grounds; Include a visit on your Private Tour of England. This property is best known for being the place where the Royal Family spends their Christmases.

The Courtyard provides a Terrace Café and Sandringham Shop where visitors can buy local Norfolk produce. If you’re interested in nature, a walk or bike ride around the Royal Park is a must, with two nature trails and additional woodland paths to explore. Or wander around the house and imagine the King having tea in one of the lounges or the children opening presents on Christmas Day. The Royal Family has owned the Norfolk Estate since 1862 when Edward VII, the then The Prince of Wales, purchased it with his soon-to-be wife Alexandra of Denmark. The son and heir of Prince Edward, George V, adored staying at Sandringham and would eventually die here on January 20, 1936. His son and Queen Elizabeth’s father, George VI, passed away at the house on February 6, 1952. Following their deaths, Queen Elizabeth II owned the estate and now King Charles. The house itself was opened to the public in 1977, the year of the Queens’s Silver Jubilee.
