Visit Chawton, city of Jane Austen’s most celebrated home. She spent the last eight years of her life at Chawton in the 17th century house which is now preserved in her memory. Some of her best work was written here, including Emma.
Tour Winchester, once the principal capital of England and burial place of kings. William the Conqueror built one of his first English castles here. The only surviving part of the castle is the Great Hall, erected in 1235. It is now home to the legendary Round Table. The story behind the table is a mix of history and myth, it was said to have been built by the wizard Merlin.
