Day 1. Edinburgh - See all the major sights
Tour the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen, the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The Palace is best known as the home of Mary, Queen of Scots and was the setting for many dramatic episodes in her short life. The state-of-the-art Queens gallery opened in 2002, which enable exhibitions of the most delicate works from the royal collection to be shown. Enjoy a walking tour of the famous Royal mile with your guide - cobbled streets, tiny shops, mysteries and the stories of Scotland's great figures of literature. Tour Edinburgh Castle, dominating Edinburgh's skyline and giving stunning views across the city and countryside. Home to the Scottish crown jewels, the legendary stone of destiny and Mons Meg, a giant cannon.
Leave the old town and explore the new town. Visit the Georgian house, built in the late 18th century and furnished as it would have been in 1796, a fascinating insight in to past. Overnight Edinburgh.
Day 2. Edinburgh - Stirling Castle - Kilchurn Castle
Leave Edinburgh and cross the medieval battlefield of Bannockburn, through Stirling to the Wallace Monument and into the Highlands. Through Rob Roy country, the Trossachs and up into the Campbell stronghold of Kilchurn Castle and Loch Awe before arriving in Fort William, in the shadow of Britain's biggest mountain Ben Nevis. Overnight Fort William.
Day 3. Loch Ness - Highlands - Inverness
Tour Eilean Donan Castle in the heart of the Highlands and then through the mystical lands of Kintail where every mountain has a story. Gliding through the plethora of colours that blesses Glen Sheil and into the largest fault line of Scotland, The Great Glen, home to Loch Ness. Enjoy a boat trip on the mysterious waters. Fly from Inverness to Edinburgh.
