Stoke Park Country Club and Resort – Virtuoso Preferred
Why have we chosen a hotel outside London?
Stoke Park is located 15 minutes from London’s ring road (M25) which links up with all the main roads that take you to all the major historic visitor attractions that can be easily visited in a day, plus you will be avoiding the ‘Olympic traffic’ in central London. When you do need to get into London for an event the Olympic organisers want people to use public transport. In this case we will provide a vehicle until it becomes in-practical and your guide will then help you negotiate London’s integrated transport network to get to the Olympic event that you have tickets for or any of the free-events.
Stoke Park's 49 exquisite bedrooms and suites are hosted in The Mansion, a Grade I Palladian house, and the more contemporary Pavilion.
Each of the 21 bedrooms in The Mansion is furnished with fine art, priceless antiques, sumptuously comfortable beds, en-suite marble bathrooms and open fires. Many of the rooms open onto balconies where guests can enjoy breakfast or evening drinks overlooking the 350 acres of parkland and historic gardens. These deeply traditional rooms still benefit from every modern convenience: HD TV, iPod docking station, direct dial telephones and Wi-Fi.
The Mansion's Pennsylvania Suite was featured in the hit movie ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’ and was voted “Top Ten Romantic Hotel Rooms in the World” by The Sunday Times.
The Pavilion hosts 28 bedrooms with every convenience for the modern traveller: HD TV, iPod dock, direct dial telephones, Wi-Fi, minibar, adjustable mood lighting and air-conditioning.
Like The Mansion, each room represents the utmost in comfort and luxury: carefully chosen furnishings and fabrics include bespoke furniture handcrafted in the UK and additional antiques sourced from the Far East and the walls are adorned with hand-made mirrors as well as modern artwork.
The marble bathrooms have heated floors and mirrors, cast iron baths, power showers and SPC luxury skincare products.
In 2010, The Dining Room was awarded two AA Rosettes, thanks in no small part to our Executive Chef's modern British food with a twist and exquisite signature dishes. Your dining experience here, surrounded as you are by stunning décor and panoramic views of the estate, will be a lasting one.
The Dining Room is open for:
Lunch 12.00pm - 2.30pm
Dinner 7.00pm - 10.00pm
Dress Code
Dress code is smart casual from the evening onwards. Smart jeans are allowed but trainers and t-shirts are not permitted. It is not essential to wear a jacket and tie in the Dining Room.
Facilities
Golf, Tennis, Spa, Gym and three restaurants.
