Day 1. Stonehenge - Wardour Castle - Montacute House

Begin your tour at Stonehenge. This ancient circle of stones has captivated people for centuries. You can enjoy a private tour with your guide. Tour Wardour Castle, rarely visited due to limited access. The unusual hexagonal ruins of this medieval castle stand in beautiful landscaped gardens by Capability Brown. Day 2. Dartmoor National Park - Castle Drogo - Gardens

Tour Dartmoor National Park, the 'Hound of the Baskerville' country. Dartmoor is now the least inhabited part of England. See wild Dartmoor Ponies, wooded valleys with quaint thatched cottages and heather clad moors which glow purple and maroon in the evening sun. Tour Castle Drogo, which has stunning views of the countryside. Made of granite and built in the 20th Century, the castle has beautiful secluded gardens with fantastic views of Dartmoor. Overnight Devon.

Day 3. Tintagel - Padstow - Bodmin Moors

Tour Cornwall: Visit Cotehele, a magical Tudor house in the Tamar valley. The wonderful gardens draw people from around the World. Tour Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. The castle is set high on the cliff face and below the North Atlantic crashes against the jagged rocks. Tour the picturesque fishing village of Padstow. The harbour is often crowded with fishing boats and yachts. The tiny houses seem to tumble over each other toward the harbour. Sample the local delights of Cornish ice-cream. Overnight Cornwall.

Day 4. St. Ives - St Michael's Mount - Fishing Villages

Tour south western Cornwall. St Ives is an old fishing village with narrow alleyways, steep slopes and lovely fish restaurants. Artist flock to St Ives to take advantage of the unusually bright light. You can take time to visit the studios of working artists. St Ives is also a perfect stop for lunch. See St Michael’s Mount where, according to Cornish legend, the Archangel St Michael appeared. The mount has become the icon for Cornwall. The Castle and church whose origins date from the 12th century, have at various times acted as a Benedictine priory, a fortress and a mansion house. Overnight Cornwall.

Day 5. Trebah Gardens - St Mawes Castle - Newquay

Trebah Gardens enjoy a stunning location. The garden falls 200 feet from the 18th century house to a private beach on Helford river. Streams cascade over waterfalls through ponds of Koi Carp. See 100 year old rhododendrons and magnolias. Visit the pretty fishing village of St Mawes and explore the narrow streets with tiny shops and pubs. Tour St Mawes Castle. It is the finest example of Tudor military architecture, built by King Henry VIII to defend England from an impending French invasion. Newquay has some of Europe's best surfing beaches and the best ice-cream. Enjoy the beautiful beaches before your return flight to London. Return to London.
