Your Tour Details
Day 1. Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Wiltshire Villages.
Visit Windsor Castle, a working palace and home to the Queen. It is the largest and oldest continuously inhabited castle in the world.
Enjoy a private guided tour of the mysterious site of Stonehenge. This ancient temple was built around 5,000 years ago, making it older than the pyramids of Egypt.
Stop off at a real ‘local’s’ pub in a classic English village. The great advantage of having your own driver-guide is to take scenic routes that are ‘off the beaten track’ and explore England’s country lanes, hamlets and lesser known Wiltshire villages.
Day 2. Stourhead, Old Wardour Castle and the Roman Baths.
Stourhead House is regarded as being one of Europe’s greatest landscaped gardens, featuring grottos, lakes and temples on a grand scale.
Old Wardour Castle is isolated, forgotten and great fun to get lost in! Your guide will explain the fascinating history of this very unusual place.
Tour the ancient Roman Baths. Built over 2,000 years ago, the Romans harnessed the hot local springs and were able to engineer a magnificent complex of plunge pools, steam rooms and saunas. End your visit to Bath with a visit to the impressive abbey.
Day 3. Cotswold Country.
The Cotswolds is a place to escape; a haven for those in need to watch the world go by. Take a journey through England’s timeless countryside and visit the pretty villages surrounded by the Cotswolds Hills. See traditional thatched cottages and delightful shops full of unusual and unique items. Meander through the village of Burford, lined with antique shops and ancient coaching inns. Stop at Chipping Campden, the perfect Cotswold market town, with its old pubs, tea rooms and a quaint market hall. Bibury first earned its title of ‘the most beautiful village in England’ from the artist and craftsman, William Morris.
During the afternoon, you may wish to tour some of the quintessentially English gardens of the Cotswolds region. Tour Hidcote Manor Gardens, one of England’s finest gardens, a complete dream set high in the Cotswold Hills. The herbaceous borders and chambers of hedges add to the theme and character of the garden - every corner turned brings a smile to the face.
Day 4. Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a market town close to Warwick Castle and like the castle, it has developed hugely during the Medieval period. Stratford has numerous properties associated with Shakespeare, including Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. The cottage itself is a piece of history, representing the life of Shakespeare’s family. Stop by Holy Trinity Church, also known as Shakespeare’s Church which is where the famous writer was baptised and buried.
After lunch, head to a place which has a thousand years of history within its domain. The medieval walls of Warwick Castle tower over the River Avon; appearing twice as big because of the reflection on the water. The structure of the castle was meant for military purposes and throughout history has proved its importance.
Warwick Castle is fun and educational, with various shows and exhibitions. The Bird of Prey Lawn is the best place to view the falconry displays. After touring the castle, you may wish to stroll through the Rose and Peacock Garden.
Day 5. Oxford Highlights and Blenheim Palace.
Enjoy a walking tour with your guide and visit Christ Church College with its vaulted staircase and elegant Tudor dining hall, the inspiration for locations in the Harry Potter films.
Home to the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace is a grand aristocratic home befitting the high status of a Dukedom. This Baroque masterpiece was built to impress; the long drive up to the great court provides splendid views of Capability Brown’s world famous landscaped grounds. Time-permitting, tour the magnificent state rooms.

And why we do it!
Our aim is always to be an ‘upgrade’ to anything else available, but without going ‘over the top’ with our prices. We started our business by offering simple day tours and deliver them well. It was not long before our clients were asking us to include more services and events – this we took as a compliment and felt it showed they trusted us and had confidence that we would deliver to a high standard, without the fuss.
