England's most beautiful university City

Discover the story of Cambridge and how it became home to a world-class university! Stroll along the historic streets with your guide, surrounded by magnificent university buildings, riverside colleges and take in the iconic King's College Chapel and find out why it took 100 years to complete. Within this working chapel, you will see one of Europe's most excellent examples of Renaissance stained glass. Option to extend the day an visit the historical town of Ely

Cambridge is a city that buzzes with cafes, pubs, and various restaurants of all types. Your guide will help choose the place that is right for you.

Take a private punting boat along the river and see the backs of the colleges, before heading off to the Imperial War Museum of Duxford. The former RAF base exhibits the story of how Britain's air force developed from WW1 to the Cold War. It highlights the critical air fought battles, such as the battle for Britain! Discover the extraordinary mementoes and collections left behind by the very men who flew the spitfires. The museum is also home to the most extensive number of American aircraft outside the United States.

There are normally two or three Air Shows per year at Duxford. The summer show takes place on the last weekend in July and the Battle of Britain Air Show on the third weekend of September. They are spectacular shows, and it may be worth letting our Travel Designers create an itinerary that includes overnight accommodation in the area.

Optional VIP Experience
N3200 is a special aircraft. This combat veteran Mark I Spitfire flew with 19 Squadron from RAF Duxford and was lost in 1940 when the Dunkirk evacuation began. Shot down and crash landing on the beach, it sunk into the sand and remained there for over 45 years. After being recovered and restored to flying condition, N3200 is now based at the same airfield operated from 1940, here at IWM Duxford.

Enjoy an in-depth, two-hour encounter with N3200 in our VIP experience, which allows for an extended sit in the cockpit, and the opportunity to return to the pilot’s seat following your talk. Here, you’ll be shown the controls, talked through the features inside and even have the opportunity to close the Spitfire hood, fully immersing yourself in the conditions experienced by Fighter Command.

If aviation is not your thing, visit Cambridge and Audley End House and Gardens, a stunning Jacobean prodigy house. Alternatively, tour Cambridge and Hatfield House, a historic property often used by filmmakers.
