Explore "the Lanes" a neighbourhood of independent shops.

Take a walking tour of Brighton and exploring the narrow shopping streets known as 'the lanes' a fashion and jewellery quarter. Tour the Royal Pavilion, acclaimed as one of Europe's most exotic royal residences. The Pavilion is a strange mix of Chinese and Asian styles, much in fashion in the 1800's – a night time palace of entertainment, soft lighting, music concerts, and elaborate feasts.

The newly restored rooms will enable you to see Royal Pavilion in its full glory. See the quaint village of Amberley with thatched cottages, pub and ancient castle. Option to stop at the village pub for lunch, or book a Wine Tasting at a local vineyard with lunch.

Arundel Castle is commanding and rises majestically from the hillside, crowning the vibrant greens of the South Downs National Park. This castle is the second largest in England and still the country home of the Fitzalan-Howard family. One of the most stately parts of this large home has to be the regency Library, with its 10,000 books, Chinese lanterns and lavish mahogany carving. The treasures at Arundel are abundant, with historical relics including Mary Queen of Scot's rosary beads, which she carried to the scaffold.

In recent years the Collector Earl’s Garden has been recreated. This investment in the construction of the garden has been a great success. The area was a kitchen garden and used as a car park until the 1970s. The garden pays homage to the 14th Earl of Arundel, an art collector. There are waterworks, vinery, classical architecture, fruit gardens and large seasonal displays.

Prefer to stay overnight and tour the glorious English countryside? We recommend our suggested England’s South Coast for those with a love for the coast. We can customise the itinerary to include activities such as Surfing in Cornwall, Paddleboarding, Fly Fishing or more. Our Tour Designers will make other suggestions based on your interests and accommodation preferences.
